I have lost a considerable amount of weight in the past year, more namely the last six months. It started gradually, with just a few conscious decisions to cut back on fried foods, dairy products, and sugar. As the weight started dropping I found that I really enjoyed my new body so I dived further into the nutritional workings of the body and the way ingredients work in the marketplace today.
On top of the change in diet, I decided that I wanted to be a fitter me. While I am still working on that aspect of myself (and suppose I always will be), I must say I am proud of the progress I've made! When I was in middle school I reached the point of my laziness when I almost failed my P.E. class. I literally didn't want to be bothered with my physical self, I mean all I ever did was read, who cares about my muscles right? If I could change it now, I would, but you cannot undo the past. I always thought I was exercising wrong because I couldn't feel anything but frustration. Is this even working? Having stuck to the exercises, I find that it does indeed work. Those pains you feel are just the start of your workout, you have to push beyond that. Now I am engaging my muscles, I know which ones are working and I know when I am tightening and releasing them. I can pinpoint what is doing what. Before I felt nothing because my muscles were so weak they weren't budging!
I have had people notice my weight loss. Some have actually joked that they'd like me to make them a diet plan so they could lose the weight too. I would love to help them all, but I feel that creating a diet plan wouldn't be the way. When you want to tackle any task you need to be educated and prepared. Those things you aren't prepared for, the surprises, you have to catch ASAP and then educate yourself to further your progress. What I am saying, is once you learn the fundamentals you can master anything! I could make you a food diet, but if you don't like the food then you won't be satisfied, and you won't stick to it. Plus, my body is different than yours, so it requires different foods at different portions. Once you learn what food is good for you, bad for you, and why it is one or the other..then you can begin to eat properly for yourselves.
I had originally started posting information about nutrients and the complexity of calories but I took a break from those blogs because I find that I still have much to learn and I'd like to give the proper information. I am just inviting you to take this educational journey along side me. Ask questions, make observations, and hopefully I can help you and maybe you could help me too? ^__^ Good luck!
